JiMin Chae brings images discovered in life's moments to coexist on a single canvas, constructing figurative paintings where fragments of art and everyday life, reality and unreality, collide and intersect.

A Slightly Misaligned Landscape begins from the flat surface of the canvas and explores a condition in which flatness and space coexist uneasily within a single image, where expanded planes and objects are arranged in a carefully constructed space. The scene appears harmonious, yet it produces a sense of disconnection and instability, as the elements do not face one another and merely remain in the same space without truly coexisting. The composition is created by dividing a single plane into three sections and shifting them forward and backward, while the center, where a vanishing point would normally be, is left empty, prompting the viewer to imagine the complete plane that might occupy that space.

CDA is a gallery stands for ‘Creative’, ‘Discovery’, and ‘Appreciation’. The gallery mainly presents creative activities in various fields of contemporary visual arts in the form of exhibitions. CDA exhibition mainly focuses on paintings but subjects to all kinds of genres and mediums such as sculpture, prints, photography, animation, and video. The form of the exhibitions is also balanced, with a mix of solo and group exhibitions, as well as art fairs and collaborative projects.
