Imperfection, Perfection It's a work that I made to share the ideas and philosophy of that time that I suddenly realized while working on it. "Beauty of Imperfection" One day, when I put an empty paper in front of me to paint, I suddenly felt so beautiful, comfortable, and complete with nothing. At the same time, the desire to fill with something, anxiety, and excitement that will be beautifully filled with brush strokes came together. And at the same time, I wonder if an empty state with nothing filled is the most comfortable, stable, and complete state, I was contemplating whether I could be complete no matter what I filled with. When I draw something on the screen, it's an act of revealing imperfections. So I acknowledge my imperfections and realize my humility trying to get closer to perfection I came to think that "the act of finding beauty in the process of imperfections" is my art. Furthermore, the desire of possession to fill our lives with something and the bond of dissatisfaction that we have and do not end I was able to think that maybe it's because I'm missing out on being the most complete when it's empty. I also thought that living like that was a fragment of a human being thrown out of imperfections. A screen with nothing drawn on it can be nothing, so it can be incomplete, Something that is drawn and represents beauty can be a state of perfection I feel that even that is incomplete again, and I constantly challenge, wander, and realize the gap between incomplete and complete I could think that I was in a big process of growing up. The audience also watches this work at the end of the exhibition hall, and like an empty screen, the desire, anguish, hurt, and sadness in each of them, I'm hoping that anything in place can be emptied. And I look forward to leaving the exhibition hall with the hope that you can fill your empty heart become beautiful in that way.

Luke Park creates a new beauty through the aesthetics of imperfection and minimal expression on an empty canvas. The artist, who majored in Business at Hongik University and received a master's degree in Arts and Cultural Management from the graduate institution, is claimed to have been interested in traditional Japanese culture for a long time. In particular, the Japanese dry garden culture, known as Zen Garden, influenced his current style of painting. Instead of incorporating incidental components in his works, he attempts to convey the meaning solely through the flow of brushstrokes. Exploring the true nature of life, the artist reveals via his works the necessary approach to life in our materialistic society.
