Samuel Almansa (Mallorca, 1995) builds a universe where irony and tenderness coexist under the same glossy surface. His practice moves between painting, sculpture and object, using airbrushed layers, industrial finishes and pop iconography to explore how contemporary images shape desire, identity and affection. His figures —half cute, half unsettling— seem to inhabit a world that imitates perfection while exposing its cracks. Through a visual language influenced by toys, automotive aesthetics and digital culture, Almansa turns symbols of innocence into ambiguous creatures: angelic yet mischievous, seductive yet distant. Color, polish and humour become tools to speak about fragility, about the emotional exhaustion behind beauty. Beneath the mirror-like surfaces, his work reflects the tension between the instinct to protect and the impulse to destroy — a constant oscillation between attraction and resistance that defines his generation’s visual landscape
