Also, the artist investigates their depth, expansiveness, weight, and spatial qualities—elements often overlooked in purely data-driven forms. By transforming these immaterial, digitally-generated images into physical and tactile presences, Wonkyo attempts to give form to the intangible, bridging the virtual and the real. the artist’s work not only questions the ontology of contemporary digital imagery but also proposes new ways of sensing and experiencing the image beyond the screen.

Gallery THEO is founded in Seoul, South Korea in 2020. The priority mission of THEO is to establish a sustainable art cycle rooted in diversity. THEO was established by two directors who have built their careers in the art markets of the UK and the US, bringing their international expertise and networks to the Korean art scene.
