Born in Ukraine in 1993, Katia Lifshin lives and works in Tel Aviv, Israel. She studied art at Pima College in Tucson, Arizona, before continuing her practice independently, gradually shaping a distinctive visual language.

In Meadow, a girl enters through two curtains, to find out a fantastic landscape, meadows and mountains in the distance, the sky is spiraling in a continuous endless motion, her hair in the air, as if the wind blew it or perhaps it stands up to symbolize her wonder and amazement of what she just found out. She is stepping confidently into this scene, in a theatrical manner, the stage is this wondrous world around her.

Artemin is a human gene located on the human chromosome 1 (1p34.1), so called as ART. Its main function is related to the development of neuroblast and the peripheral nervous system.

Artemin Gallery was founded in 2020, and our name was inspired by the gene, aims to have a keen and rapid perception of art, similar to the transmission of nerves. We committed to discovering the connection between art and everyday life, searching for potential artists, and exploring the infinite possibilities of contemporary art.
