The painting is really about this single moment of nothing and everything, she is resting, spinning the flower. But the movement extends outwards, into infinity, like the spiral that grows, and the petals that open when a flower blooms, it's about that movement, how we are part of it, expanding.

Born in Ukraine in 1993, Katia Lifshin lives and works in Tel Aviv, Israel. She studied art at Pima College in Tucson, Arizona, before continuing her practice independently, gradually shaping a distinctive visual language.
